As part of its campaign to further raise awareness to climate change and in show of support for the Greener Davos Initiative, Qcells has installed a 340kWp solar system on the Davos Congress Center.

Hanwha Solar Forest Campaign

Since 2011, Qcells has organized the “Hanwha Solar Forest” campaign, creating eco-friendly forests to help address desertification and fine dust – both of which are caused by climate variations and human activities. Qcells has donated solar panels to generate carbon emission-free energy to foster seedlings used for these forests. And through this campaign, Hanwha Group has thus far created nine forests across Korea, China and Mongolia.

Mekong Campaign

In 2019, Qcells donated solar modules to Hanwha Group’s “Clean Up Mekong” campaign. In the Clean Up Mekong campaign, two solar-powered boats were donated to Vinh Long, Vietnam to help remove floating wastes from the Mekong river in an environmentally-friendly way.
