After overcoming pain, MINYOUNG LEE thrives as the top player in JLPGA

MINYOUNG LEE, the only member of Team Hanwha Qcells on the JLPGA tour, placed her name on the Top 10 for the 2020-2021 season 10 times, playing a crucial role to increase Hanwha Qcells' brand awareness in the Japanese market.
She made her professional debut in 2010 with the Korean national team, and moved on to win the KLPGA 2nd part tour Money List. She's been with Team Hanwha Qcells since 2014 and through the years, she's collected several wins. After moving to Japan in 2017, and winning the Yamaha Ladies Open, she's become the best player on the JLPGA Tour.
While MINYOUNG LEE was enjoying an incredible winning streak of 4 wins in the JKLPGA, she was unexpectedly diagnosed with kidney cancer and it was a very difficult time for her. However, after a successful surgery and rehabilitation, she was back 14 months later celebrating with a win. And as she raised her trophy, she exclaimed, “I am a lucky person to be able to stand on the field again.” She’s become an inspiration not only to her golf fans and fellow players but to everyone fighting cancer.
MINYOUNG LEE, is truly a star, pulling through a very difficult period in her life and emerging triumphantly as the best player in the JLPGA. Her story is still being written to this day.
